Suffering ➡ Growth
“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own soul.” ~ Carl Jung
Everyone who gets involved in learning about the invisible forces of nature and journeys inwards will come across many traps and pitfalls. You may doubt yourself, your capibilities and your experience. As you move through this haze of information and emotion, you must stay convicted in what you truly desire for your state of being and not simply learning and growing to have a leg up over your fellow man.
You may not conciously admit it, but you are probably attached to this negativity and cant imagine a life without it. You are comfortable in your suffering and you may even hold the subconcious belief that you need suffering to thrive. unecessary suffering creates more unecessary suffering. Like any feeling, good or bad, it doesent want to die. The suffering will do anything in its power to keep itself alive. If it was easy to remove, everyone would be at peace. if you could simply make the negativity dissapear with the flick of your wrist, no one would be suffering yet no one would have any experience of hardship to shape there life. Do you learn more from killing a bear with a knife or dropping a nuke on it from a plane up above? This doesent mean that you have to writhe in your negativity or suffering yet it does mean that when it arises in your life, it might be worth seeing it as a learning opportunity and an opportunity to grow rather than being a road block.
There may come a time where you engage in the process of removing old beleifs and habits from your life. Seperating the wheat from the chaff. This process can be quite uncomfortable and it may cause small to massive amoounts of distress depending on how much baggage you have. As you remove that which no longer serves you, your mind will begin to fight back and things may seem to get worse or no positive change will show. You may become confused, feel like you need to hold on to something like you are in harsh winds, or you may even feel like you are losing your mind.
push through the confusion, the despair, the anger and the longer you do it and strive for a better state of mind, the better you will get at it and the better you get at it,the less negative emotion you will have in your life as a whole.
